SIBUR is the Russian leader in the petrochemical industry and the largest producer of polymers. SIBUR produces high-quality polymer raw materials, which are used in the manufacture of end products in such socially significant segments as construction, medicine, transport, packaging, agriculture, as well as other industries in countries around the world. As a socially responsible company, SIBUR strives to reduce its environmental impact, increase resource efficiency and contribute to solving climate problems. SIBUR invests in technologies that make it possible to reuse modern synthetic materials in the production of end products. Thus, SIBUR has committed itself to promote the involvement of at least 100,000 tons of polymer waste in recycling annually within the framework of its own projects and with partners. SIBUR has developed an innovative product – Vivilen polymer granules involving recycled plastic for the production of food and non-food packaging. Only the production of Vivilen rPET granules intended for the manufacture of beverage packaging allows up to 1.7 billion plastic bottles to be recycled annually – this is 34 thousand tons of waste.

SIBUR Company, together with its partners, conducts active eco-educational activities, increasing the culture of respect for nature and teaching people how to properly handle waste. SIBUR regularly acts as an environmental partner of the country's key sports and urban events, organizing infrastructure for the separate collection of plastic waste and transferring it for recycling. Together with regional partners, SIBUR is opening eco–houses - public spaces for receiving recyclables and holding eco-educational events.
