Rosprirodnadzor and Russian Media Group signed a cooperation agreement

Rosprirodnadzor and Russian Media Group signed a cooperation agreement. The largest Russian media holding has become an information partner of the International Children's and Youth Award "Ecology is everyone's business". The agreement is aimed at supporting the award and promoting environmental education.

Within the framework of the signed cooperation agreement, Rosprirodnadzor and the Russian Media Group will promote the idea of caring for nature and contribute to the formation of a new environmental ethics in Russian society. Thanks to the partnership, the multi–million audience of the Russian Media Group will be able to learn more about simple and useful environmental habits, about the opportunity to participate in the Ecology is Everyone's Business award and express their concern for the environment. The head of Rosprirodnadzor Svetlana Radionova became the guests of the "Alla Dovlatova Evening Show" on the air of Russian Radio and answered the questions of the presenter not only about environmental problems, but also about the possibility of each person to influence environmental safety in the country. During the broadcast, in order to informally support the Ecology is Everyone's Business award, special prizes were raffled – a merch made of recycled plastic with the award logo and a smartphone. Radio listeners took an active part in the drawing, and were also able to ask their questions to the head of the environmental protection service.

"Covering the most important environmental topics and educating the audience about environmental issues is the best that modern mass media can do. Taking care of the environment should become the norm of life for every person. To do this, we are joining forces. And I am grateful to our partners for their willingness to tell radio listeners about the Ecology is Everyone's Business award as an excellent opportunity for children and adults to express their position, to say their word in defense of nature," Svetlana Radionova said.

On the air of Russian Radio, Svetlana Radionova told who can take part in the award, what gifts are waiting for the winners and prize-winners of the third season. This year, applications for the competition came from all five continents, including Australia. In a few months, the number of works exceeded 30 thousand, which is three times more than last year's figures for the same period. Active participants of the award get a unique opportunity to immerse themselves in the environment of like-minded people, create joint projects for the protection of nature and at the same time relax at the sea. This year, more than 200 teenagers from all over Russia received vouchers for thematic shifts in children's camps, including the legendary All-Russian Children's Center "Orlyonok", participated in expeditions and engaged in research activities on the shores of Lake Baikal.
