The jury of the II International Children's and Youth Award "Ecology is everyone's business" announced the results of this year. Grand Prix of the competition from the chairman of the jury, Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Boris Glushak was awarded to Victoria Abramchenko from St. Petersburg for the ecological project "Cascade-1 Photobioreactor".

"Dear guys! I sincerely thank you for participating in the international prize "Ecology is everyone's business". Ecology really concerns every person and, in general, all living things on the planet. It has no boundaries, gender and age. Absolutely everyone can contribute to the preservation of the planet. For example, you can sort waste, save water, clean up garbage, reduce consumption, or become an eco-volunteer. With your bright competitive works, you have shown how many caring people are ready to make our world better and more environmentally friendly," Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Victoria Abramchenko said in her welcoming speech to the winners and prize–winners of the Award.

According to the results of the jury's work, the Grand Prix of the Award was awarded to 15-year-old Boris Glushak from St. Petersburg for the ecological project "Cascade-1 Photobioreactor" – an innovative development on the use of chlorella vulgaris microalgae, which allows to obtain oxygen from carbon dioxide and disinfect the air. Boris presented to the jury several of his developments, including those made specifically for Awards.

The diploma of the first degree from the chairman of the jury was received by 13-year-old Sofia Milutina from Moscow for the work "Eyes are everywhere" – a piercing dance calling for the preservation of the environment, a diploma of the second degree – was awarded to the General George Smith Patton School from Ecuador (Guayaquil) – the guys told in their work about the rules that you need to know in case of earthquakes. The diploma of the third degree from the chairman of the jury was awarded to 10-year–old Semyon Kuderko from the Republic of Khakassia for the work "Clean air of our city" - in his work, the student presented simple steps to improve the environmental situation in the city of Chernogorsk and proved by his own example that any step should start with himself, and planted trees, thereby showing adults, that everyone can influence the preservation of the environment.

The winners of the second season of the International Children's and Youth Award "Ecology is everyone's business" were children and teenagers from Armenia, Peru, China, Ecuador, Moscow and St. Petersburg, Arkhangelsk, Belgorod, Volgograd, Voronezh, Irkutsk, Leningrad, Lipetsk, Moscow, Nizhny Novgorod, Novosibirsk, Penza, Rostov, Saratov, Sakhalin, Sverdlovsk, Smolensk, Tomsk, Chelyabinsk and Yaroslavl regions, Kamchatka, Krasnodar, Krasnoyarsk, Perm and Primorsky Krai, Altai, Bashkortostan, Buryatia, Crimea, Tatarstan, Khakassia, Chechnya, Chukotka and Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrugs. The leaders in the number of winners this year were the Moscow region, Moscow and the northern capital of Russia.

"The Second International Children's Service Award showed great dynamics, strong competition and high quality of work. The nominations "Ecoproject" and "ESG-generation" opened the real stars of the project and, hopefully, future ecologists and scientists. For example, eight-year-old winner Artem Yamalov from Ufa presented a rain garden project to save water. The winner of the first place, Igor Lehman from the Nizhny Novgorod region, came up with a mobile station "Ekoumnitsa" for compost processing, and a test sample has already been installed in his school. Polina Pavlova from Primorsky Krai, which took the first place, offered a unique development for the purification of man-made waters of industrial enterprises with the help of artificial geochemical barriers. Nine-year-old Albina Korotonozhkina from the Belgorod region, who became an active participant and sent many useful training videos, came up with a collection of digital clothing. The winner Vladimir Matyushkin from Armavir presented at The award is the All–Russian project of the Ecological Coat of Arms," said Svetlana Radionova, head of Rosprirodnadzor.

She noted that creative nominations were also in great demand among the guys. The children came up with rap, sang songs, composed their own poems and created dances, and many of the works were done at a high level.

"For example, ten-year-old Milana Tymoshenko from the Moscow region, who participates in The award is the second year, just shows by example what the ecology of the soul is. The girl constantly trains, hardens and conquers new heights in the truest sense of the word. Last year, together with their friend Amir Zakrailov and their dads, they made an ecological swim "For clean Baikal". This year, the families conquered Elbrus and carried out some plogging on the way to the goal," the head of Rosprirodnadzor said.

In turn, Rustam Romanenkov, Deputy Director General of the Center for Arctic Initiatives, noted that all participants, prize-winners and winners of the Award say the same thing in their works: ecology is everyone's business. It's just that each of the children chooses the form that is closer to him.

"For someone it's a cartoon, like, for example, a 20-second animation called "Look into your fur coat's eyes" by Masha Orlova from Yekaterinburg, for someone it's rap, and for someone it's the creation of an electric bottle, like for Rodion Trunov from Novosibirsk. I can't help but mention our team nominations – "Eco-school" and "Eco-family". As a representative of the jury, I made a choice in the nomination "Eco-school", and it was very difficult, I wanted to mention everyone. And indeed, in addition to the first, second and third places, we will provide, as last year, special prizes from the jury, since there are a lot of worthy works," Rustam Romanenkov said.
