On December 16, the Stavropol State Agrarian University hosted an award ceremony for the winners of the II International Children's and Youth Prize "Ecology is everyone's business".

Natalia Yarmolich, Deputy Head of the North Caucasus Interregional Department, solemnly presented diplomas and valuable gifts to the winners of the II International Children's and Youth Award "Ecology is Everyone's Business" - Margarita Sukhanova, Melisa Dzhansyz and Rostislav Lylov. The most active schools were also noted, which became the leaders of the region in terms of the number of applications submitted.

The event was also attended by Elena Stepanenko, Associate Professor of the Department of Ecology and Landscape Construction of Stavropol State Agrarian University, Maya Medvedeva, Acting Director of the GBU SC Directorate of Protected Areas of the Stavropol Territory, Sergey Babansky, Director of the FSBI "TSLATI for the Southern Federal District" - "TSLATI for the Stavropol Territory", and Svetlana Glushko, Executive Director of the NGO "Ecopatrul".

After the awarding ceremony, all participants of the ceremony got acquainted with the unique material and technical base of the Stavropol State Agrarian University. Tea drinking and informal communication with children, parents and teachers were organized for the winners and prize-winners.

The award was established by Rosprirodnadzor in March 2021 to promote the topic of ecology and environmental conservation. Children and teenagers from the Stavropol Territory sent 1,183 works to participate in the second season of the International Children's and Youth Award "Ecology is everyone's business", which is more than 10 times higher than last year. In total, over 45 thousand applications were received from Russia and 33 other countries of the near and far abroad this year.
